B CLASS SUSTENANCE [Pn Uhitbd Press Association.] CHRISTCHURCH. June 18. Fears that the proposed sustenance payments to B class workers would impose a hardship were expressed at a meeting of the Citizens’ Unemployment Relief Committee. It was decided to write ’to the Unemployment Board requesting a clear statement regarding the scale on which it was proposed to place B class men. A member said that as he understood the new proposal all B class men would suffer a reduction in weekly payments. Another member said he would like to see the men getting an allowance instead of a milk ration. Some he knew would prefer a beer ration.
