The King and Queen will attend a special service at Westminster Abbey on July 1, when a scheme for a “ pilgrimage ” to Britain’s cathedrals, the purpose of which is to raise funds for unemployed in the distressed areas, will be inaugurated. The pilgrimage, the idea of which originated with the Dean of Canterbury, will last a fortnight, and tickets costing 2s 6d .each will be sold to the pilgrims, who will see the cathedrals under special circumstances.
