A HOLDER FOR CUTLERY A simple gadget can be made to bold all the 'kitchen and dining room cutlery, and if tacked up near the sink will save scores of movements daily. Cutlery can be dried and put away with one motion, and you cal) lay your halid instantly on what you want. Any firm cloth of soft texture will do to make it; Cut your cloth according to tile amount of cutlery iii regular use. and make compartments for holding cutlery. Each small compartment should be 1-Jni wide and 41 n to 4Jin deep, except for outsize things like fish servers. Therefore for “ half a dozen of each ” make your long stnip Din wide, and for a dozen make it ISin. Cross strips should be stitched flat, with tops open, and an inch space between them. The lowest strip can he “ tailored ” to fit odd-sized utensils, such as carvers, salad and fish servers, etc. Finish with tape, with two loops for hanging up.
