AMERICAN SHIPPING STRIKE
THE PACIFIC COAST DISPUTE SETTLEMENT LIKELY Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. SAN FRANCISCO, June 17. A formula for a settlement of the Pacific coast strike was signed on Saturday by the employers, union representatives, and commercial organisations. A two-thirds majority ratification by the union membership is necessary, but Labour leaders predicted approval, which would end the paralysis of the coastal sea trade, which has lasted for more than a month.
SETTLEMENT ANNOUNCED VANCOUVER, June 17. . (Received June 18, at 10 a.m.) The Pacific longshore strike has been settled. Traffic will bo resumed on Monday.
