DISPLAY IN BRITAIN WITNESSED BY PRINCE GEORGE Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. LONDON, June 17. (Received Juno 18, at 10 a.m.) Prince George, using the Prince of Wales’s private aeroplane, flew to Hatfield aerodrome, and saw the largest display yet given by civil aircraft in Britain. Seventy machines participated. The display included the bombing of a motor car by auxiliary Air Force squadrons, acrobatics, and a 2,000 ft parachute descent by Joan Meakiu. With a glider towed to n height of 4,500 ft, a Bristol airport pilot slipped the cable, and broke the loop record by making eighteen loops.
