The fortnightly meeting of Royal Oak Lodge was held in the lodge room on Monday last, A.D. Bro. ATKeioh presiding over a fair attendance of members. An invitation from Otago Lodge to attend its anniversary function tonight was considered, and it was decided' that the lodge attend officially. The combined dance delegates reported that arrangements had been completed and that tickets were available for the function,, which is to be held on July o. The installation of officers was then carried out. D.P. Bro. Metcalf received a hearty vote of thanks, and was congratulated on the manner in which be performed the ceremony, News of the retirement of the senioi Grand Lodge trustee, Bro. E. JBryant was received by the lodge, and several of the members made striking reference to his long and valued service on behalf of the order. . A.D. Bro- H. St. L. Culbert presided over the installation meeting of All Nations Lodge, when there was a lair attendance. Routine business was dis posed of and a considerable amount ot sick pay passed for payment. D-f - Bro. A. J. Bundle paid an official visit and P.G.P. Bro. A. Walker, P.A. Bro H A, Tyrrell (Linden), and P.A. Bro, J. R. Paterson (West Harbour) werb welcome visitors D.P, Bro, A. J. Bundle, assisted by P.A.s Bros, later son and Tyrrell, installed the newlyelected officers in an impressive manner, and were accorded a hearty vote of thanks. The usual toasts were honoured and replied to by tbo ; G.i . and visitors, after which an adjourn jnent was made for.» game of cards; The usual meeting, of Linden Lodge. No. 5, U.A.0.D.. was held in the Oddfellows’ Hall. Roslyn. A.D. Bro, Tyrrell being in the chair. The correspondenci, included an invitation from Otago Lodge to attend its anniversary night to-night, and was accepted. Heavy sick pay was passed, and a full report on sick members was furnished by the bards. The delegates give a report on the Ball Committee's work, and notified the lodge of the final arrangements. D.P. Bro. Bundle was admitted with musical honours, and received a warm welcome. One new member was initiated bv the Boss Stewart team. The lodge was then adjourned to'. admit visitors. the occasion beiiig a public installation of officers. D.P. Bro. Bundle, assisted by 1- A. Bro. Paterson (West Harbour), gave a splendid exhibition, and received a hearty vote of thanks. The evening was spent in dancing. Visitors totlie lodge were P.D.P. Bro. Morris and P.A. Bro. Paterson (West Harbour). Lilv of the Valley Lodge; No. 11. held'its regular meeting on Wednesday last in the Albany Street Hall, where a large attendance of brothers welcomed Arch Druid Bro. N. A. Ingle. D.l. Bro. A. Bundle, of No. 1 District, paid an official visit for the purpose of installing the lodge officers. Other welcome visitors included Bros. Avery am Marr (Otago Lodge), Borrow and Cahill (Ivanhoe Lodge), and P.A, Bro. Tyrrell (Linden Lodge). A letter from Otago Lodge was received stating that it was prepared to play for the euchre shield on July 2. Sick pay amounting to £4 ffs 4d was passed for payment. P.A. Bro. Wahrlich reported on Ins visit to the meeting of the Annual Dance Committee, and notified the brothers that Thursday, July 5, 'had been decided on lor the dance in the Early Settlers’ Hall. The lodge then admitted the ladies, and D.l . Bro. Bundle, assisted by Bro. Tyrrell, installed the officers in a very creditable and impressive manner. The following were installed: —J.P.A.. Bro. N.A-Ina-le; Arch Druid. Bro. A. M Cutcheon; V.A., Bro. 0. Wahrlich; treasurer Bro. James Robertson; M.C.. Bro. H. Green; 1.G., Bro, Carol in; 0.G., Bro. Aiken; A.B.s Bros. 1. Moore and R. Carr; V.A.B.s Bros. Bennett and Elliot; pianist, Bro. A. Fowler. The lodge was then adjourned, and a happy hour at cards was enjoyed by all. Nest meeting being Scotch Night, business will commence at 7.(30 on June 27. The half-yearly meeting of Mistletoe Lodge was held in St. Mark’s Hall on Tuesday last, Arch Druid Bro. D. Abercrombie presiding over a fair muster of members. Grand President Bro. W B. R.iiston and officers of the Grand Lodge and Board of Management attended officially, and were very warmly received with musical honours. Hi • Bro J. A Metcalf also paid an official visit, and’received a hearty welcome. Ordinary routine business was quickly despatched, and sick pay was again fairly light. A mock initiation ceremony was carried out by the Boss Stewart Shield team in a very pleasing manner. D.P. Bro. Metcalf, assisted by G.P. Bro. Huston, installed the newly elected officers into their respective offices in a very efficient manner. The installed officers duly returned thanks. A hearty vote of thanks was accorded P.A. Bro. D. L. Burt for having successfully passed through the chairs ot the_ lodge, it being resolved that he receive the usual presentation, and that his name be placed on the respect board. Ihe secretary was instructed to forward an invitation to Pride of Mormngton Lodge to attend next meeting. G.l. Bro. W. B. Huston gave a very interesting resume of the first quarter s work of Grand Lodge. G.V.P. Bro. H. Hunt •mve an interesting address, dealing chiefly with the social side of the Order. G.G. Bro. Johnston and P.A. Bro. Young (Board of Management) also addressed members oh matters pertaining to Druidism and Royal Arch Chapter. A hearty vote of thanks was accorded G.P. Bro. W. B. Huston and his officers for their interesting addresses. Tho usual toasts were dulv honoured, and replied to by Grand Lodge officers and D.P. Bro. J. A. Metcalf. Supper was then handed round and the lodge adjourned till next lodge night. ■ Bay Lodge hold its usual fortnightly meeting in the Masonic Hall, St. Hilda, on Monday, .lime 11, when Arch Druid Bro. Tyrrell, president of the Juvenile Council, and his officers and members, both officers being received in a fitting manner. The delegate to the annual Social Committee reported that tho social would bo held on July 5, and asked the support of the members. The bards reported on the sick brethren, and sick pay was passed for payment. Members reported on the church parade held in the Methodist Church latelv. D.P. Bro. Metcalf, assisted bv P.D.P. Bro. G. Wilson, installed the following officers into their respective chairs for the pnsuing term:—Arch Druid, Bro. T. Wassal; Vice Arch, Bro. T. Hughes; Treasurer, Bro. H. A. Tyler; M.C., Bro A. Horwood; Inside Guardian, Bro. D. K. M'Leod; 0.G., Bro. W. A. Ruston ; A. D. Bards, Bros. J. Clinch and T. Bartlett; V.A. Bards, Bros. L. G. Eagles and J. Dineon; F.A., Bro. T, Allan; and pianist, Bro. V. W. Couch. A Vote of thanks was accorded tho installing officers for the very able way tho ceremony was carried out. The retiring Past Arch, Bro. H. A. Adams, was accorded a hearty vote of thanks and appreciation for his services to the lodge while going through the chair. At this stage Bro. Tyrrell addressed the members on matters connected with the working of the juvenile movement, stressing the necessity of supporting the lodges under their judisdiction. Bro. Tyrrell maintained that it was the best recruiting ground the order had, and the time spent amongst the boys was for the benefit of all the lodges. Bro. Tyrrell was thanked for his address, and the lodge will act on Ids requests. The toasts wore responded to by the visitors from the various lodges.
