THE OFF-SIDE RULE ORDER-IH-GOUHCIL ISSUED [Per United Press Association.] WELLINGTON, June .18. A supplementary Gazette was issued this morning containing an Order in Council clarifying the position regarding the off-side rule for motor vehicles. It states; “Every driver of a motor vehicle when approaching any intersection at which traffic is not for the time being controlled by a police officer, a traffic inspector, or the presence of a compulsory ‘ stop ! sign, shall give way to any other vehicle approaching on his right. He must also give way to a tram approaching from any direction. No driver may increase his speed when approaching an intersection under the circumstances set out above.”
