THE LATE IZS
IZS, the Auckland station which lias closed down, had been on the air since about five years ago. It was one of the first, if not the first, to popularise breakfast sessions in Auckland and to act as a substitute for the Post and Telegraph Department's abandoned service by frequent announcements of the correct time. Radio Ltd., of which firm the late Mi E. R. Boucher, who was killed in a plane smash at 'Wellington, was the principal, owned the station. but this firm lias found its business expanding so rapidly that it requires the space now occupied by studio and transmitting plant for other purposes.
