INCIDENT CLOSED
THE KURAMOTO AFFAIR Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright, TOKIO, June 15. (Received Juno 16, at noon.) It is understood that Mr Hiroia (Foreign Minister) told Cabinet that the Government was most circumspect throughout the Kuramoto affair, confining its actual representations to NanIcing to requests for search, and Ministers were most relieved that a fresh quarrel with China had not eventuated. The Government had ordered the Con-sul-General (Mr Suma) to thank Nanking for the successful search. . It is not expected that Mr Suma will resign, though he is chagrined by hit subordinate’s actions causing international commotion and the despatch of warships, etc. Kuramoto has been ordered home. The Government apparently considerl the incident closed.
