FRENCH MILITARY CREDITS A GOVERNMENT VICTORY Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. PARIS, June 14. (Received June 15, at noon. ) The Government, won a decisive victory when- the Chamber of Deputies, by an overwhelming majority, rejected a Socialist motion against granting £39,000,000 military credits. M. Doumcrgc hinted that he would resign if tho credits were not voted. Ho said the credits were especially necessary because Germany had ostentatiously decided to rearm. GAH RUN NO RISKS PARIS, Juno 14. (Received June 15, at noon.) Marshal Pctaiu, addressing tho journalists’ luncheon, said; “Prance will remain on tho defensive. Sho has suffered too greatly to run risks deliberately. Prance, though she has reduced her armaments, fears nobody'. We have clad the frontiers with anus, and methodically motorised the big units. France realises her exposure to brutal and sudden air attacks. Yet to stimulate confidence we need only to note tho reawakening of tho glorious ancestral military spirit. The army maintains the necessary man-power to guarantee territorial inviolability.’’-
