SEVERE EARTHQUAKE

RECORDED IN INDIA HEAVY DAMAGE FEARED Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. CALCUTTA, June 14. (Received June 15, at 11.45 a.m.) An earthquake shock of great intensity, the epicentre of which is estimated to be in South Afghanistan or Baluchistan, was recorded at various Indian observatories at 3.43 yesterday morning. There is no news from Afghanistan, but it is feared that heavy damage has been aused, as the tremors were felt in several places on the Indian frontier, people rushing panic-stricken from their houses.
