MOTOR VEHICLES INSURANCE.

TO THB EDITOR. Sir,—A majority of the Otago Motor Club has apparently come to the conclusion that all motors on the road should be insured. I have come to the very opposite conclusion myself. As a driver of some years’ experience, I think the roads would be much safer if no motors were insured at all. The fact that the cars are insured, and an insurance office pays in the event of an accident, is responsible for quite a lot of reckless driving. If the owners themselves had to pay in tho event of accidents there would be much nufre careful driving than there is.—l am, etc., • M. June 13.
