In the third round the Misses Jessie (girl champion) and Isa Anderson defeated Miss Kay and Miss Gaisford, two up.
MAKURA’S ’FRISCO TRIP CANCELLED.
The Union Company lias cancelled the Makura’s trip from Wellington to ’Frisco. The Cooks’ and Stewards’ Union notified the company that the men would not sign fresh articles unless an increase in wages was granted, and the company declined to concede this. —Press Association.
