ANONYMOUS DONOR’S GIFT
SCHEME TO SETTLE UNEMPLOYED FAMILIES [Per United Press Association.] HAMILTON, June 13. The Waikato Land and Settlement Society has received a gift of several thousand pounds from an anonymous donor to purchase an estate of 1,430 acres in Te Awamutu for the society’s scheme to settle unemployed families on the land. It is proposed, to subdivide this estate into small farms of about 120 acres, and provide facilities for mixed farming, featuring sheep raising.
