TO INCREASE POPULATION
AH IMMIGRATION SCHEME ■ [Per United - Press Association.] . HAMILTON, June 13. An immigration scheme designed to fncrease the population of New Zealand with young Englishmen--of the right type and to settle idle and partlydeveloped . land has been instituted by Mr D. V. Bryant, of Hamilton, founder of the Waikato Land Settlement Society. Mr Bryant plans to raise £10,000,000 in Great Britain by Way of gift to finance the scheme, .which, he’ sjiys, will nob mean any liability on New Zealand, as the capital for the immigrants will be subscribed in Great Britain. He explains that there are many people in England with surplus wealth , who he is confident will pupport the scheme.financially. -
