(Received Juno 12, at 11 a.m.) The * Herald ’ says that the early retirement from politics of tho Attor-ney-General (Mr J. G. Latham) may now confidently be expected. The present Chief Justica ot Australia (Sir Frank Gavan Duffy) will, it is believed, shortly resign, and Mr Latham is likely to bo appointed to the post.
