RURAL CREDITS BOARD
BUSINESS SAFEGUARDED [Per United Press Association.] WELLINGTON, June 11. At the monthly meeting of the Rural Intermediate Credit Board, the Chairman (Colonel J. J. Esson) congratulated Mr Norton Francis, a member of the board, on his appointment as a director of the Reserve Bank of New Zealand, and expressed the opinion that the wide knowledge and experience which he had acquived in his long connection with the farming ‘industry would prove of great service to the dominion in • his new position. The Commissioner■ (Mr J. W. Macdonald) presented a statement showing that, although the Rural Credit Associations had , come through a difficult time owing to the unsettled conditions in the farming industry, there was no likelihood at present of any loss being suffered by the board in its business with'the associations-'
