NEW TRADE COMMISSIONER
ARRIVAL OF MR BOULTER [Pkr Univbd Press Association.] AUCKLAND, June 11. The new Occupant of the post of His Alajesty’s Trade Commissioner in Now Zealand, Mr Robert Boulter,.. C.AI.G., arrived at Auckland from Sydney by the Alonowai this afternoon, aud left for Wellington this evening. Air Boulter, who for the past five years has been Trade Commissioner at Singapore, succeeds Air L, A. Raish. The latter, who was appointed to New Zealand in 1929, retired from service some months ago on account of ill-health, and is now in England. The new coinmisssiouer, who is fortynine years of age, has spent nearly his whole official life in the Far East. Ho entered the British consular service in Japan in 1907. and was commercial secretary to the British Embassy at Tokio from 1925 to 1929. In the latter year he was appointed Trade Commis'sioner at Singapore. Mr Boulter has not previously visited New Zealand.
