Ba.uk of New Zealand shares were wauled at, the improved figure of 51s 3d, but sellers failed to respond. Long ITs and Australasias also bad misapplied buyers, , while E.S. and A. ‘s showed a margin of 6s between the quotations. A closer market was experienced in New Zealand Loan and Mercantile ordinary shares, and 'Trustees. Executors were not for sale, despite, an offer of 655. Meat preserving shares attracted the usual keen attention of investors, though Refrigerating contiibutings failed to do business, despite that only one penny separated Uio quotes. Dominion Fertilisers revealed a definite hardening , tendency, but otherwise no change was noticeable in the miscellaneous section, m which buyers continued to predoiniiia te. Now Zealand Breweries had business at 41s 2d, with further buyers at 44s and the shares for sale at 44s 3d. WORLD’S WHEAT SHIPMENTS World shipments of wheat for the week onded Mr; 24 were 1,365,000 quarters, of which 1,000,000 quarters were for Europe and 305,000 quarters for countries outside Europe.
