STRICKLAND BEATS LUTTRELL INTERPROVINOIAL CONTEST WON BY WELLINGTON. [Ps* United Press Association,] WELLINGTON, June 11. Ten rounds of hard hitting characterised the professional boxing bout between Maurice Strickland,, Wellington (12.9) and Val Luttrell, Hastings (12.114), which was won by Strickland easily on points at ‘the Town Hall this evening. Luttrell took a lot of punishment, and did well to last the Journey. The interprovincial contest between Wellington and Auckland resulted: — Ban tarns. R. Altken (Wellington) beat P. Kelly. Feather. J. Marshall (Wellington) beat C. Smith. Light-weight.—R. M'Lauchliii (Auckland) beat W. G. PaiTts. Welter. N. M‘Gurk (Wellington) beat’ F. Parsons. Middle. —R. Martin (Auckland) beat R. Reid.
