BIG BATTLESHIPS
ITALY TO BUILD TWO . Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright ~ROME, June 10. (Received June 11, at 12.25 p.m.) Italy is building two new battleships each of 35,000 tons, thus fully utilising the battleship tonnage allowed Italy under the Washington Treaty. A communique says'that the decision to build the largest units permissible is due to the need of meeting offensive Powers’ latest battleships.
