‘ROMANTIC NEW ZEALAND.’
TO THE EDITOR.
Sir,—ln the issue of the 9th you say that parts of this picture are produced oa the screen too rapidly to allow patrons to see them to the best effect. ■This is a defect not confined to the ■ production referred to. In most .of the ' local picture theatres the pace is too quick. This applies particularly to the names of the players which one has not sufficient time to read. Then again pedestrians are shown as if running when they ought to be walking. 1 think that on the whole patrons would prefer natural pace in the pictures, making up the lost time by cutting out some of the advertisements and some of the silly “ supports.” Perhaps after the hint you have given ‘ Romantic New Zealand ’ at anyrate will be slowed down.—l am, etc., - New Zealand.
