ST. KILDA QUEEN CARNIVAL
The Surf Queen (Miss C. Idour) was still leading this morning in the St. Kilda Beach Improvement Queen Carnival, but the Tramways Queens (Miss Agnew) is now second, with the Municipal Queen (Miss Quirk) ,third, and the Sports Queen (Miss R. Barton) fourth. It has been found necessary to alter the date of the coronation ceremony, and with it the drawing of the art union, to Tuesday, June 26, aii His Majesty’s Theatre. On Saturday evening friends and supporters of the Surf Queen-(Miss 0. Idour) met at the Bungalow, St. Kilda, for cards and dancing, an attendance of 125 people thoroughly enjoying themselves. Several competitions were held among the card players, with the following results:—Ladies, Mrs G. Adess; gentlemen, Mr D. Baxter; “booby prizes”, Mrs Dickie and Mr A. Rayner. Mrs Rayner won the aggregate prize, and, with Mr J. Harrison, the Monte Carlo prize. Mr T. Idour and Miss Coory were the “lucky spot” winners.
