SOVIET ABUSE OF BRITAIN
DISTORTED VIEW OF BOMBAY RIOTS RIGA, March 20. The recent Bombay rioting between Moslems and Hindus has supplied the Soviet newspapers with ample material for the abuse of Great Britain. ‘ Pravda,’ for instance, says: “ For a long time Great Britain has been carefully organising mass bloodshed between Hindus and Moslems, so as to prevent the workers and peasants joining hands for serious strike warfare during the coming spring and summer. Thanks to the treachery of Gandhi and other Nationalist leaders, India, by a small majority, voted ju favour of remaining in the British Empire, but all the British agents know that the Indian national liberating movement will soon have passed beyond Great Britain’s control. The peasants and workers intend to organise themselves under more intelligent leaders, who will demand revolutionary action, instead of words, and who will show the masses that it is Great Britain’s devilish hand which is behind the scene in this liactricidal warfare.”
