SAILED.—ApriI 2. Bieezc, s.s. (9 p.m.), 512 tons, O'Neill, for Wanganui via, ports. Kahika. s.s. (11 p.m.), 1,172 tons, Grey, for Namier and Gisborne via ports. Having loaded for Napier and Gisborne via ports the Kahika. sailed last night. Another departure last night was I ho Breeze lor Wanganui via the usual ports. To-night the Gale is to leave lor Oamorn, Timarn, Lyttelton, Wellington, Pinion, and Wanganui. The. Calm is duo hero on Saturday morning from Bln If to load and sad the same day for Timarn, Lyttelton, Wellington, and Wanganui. Due here to-morrow from Weslport via. Bluff, the Upihi is to unload ami sad the same day for Timarn and Westport. Tim Ivaimanawa, after loading at Westport, is to leave that port tomorrow for Lyttcltop and Dunedin. News has been received by cable that the liner Tamaroo, left Southampton on Thursday afternoon last, for Auckland and Wellington. She is due at Auckland on April 30. CARGO FROM NEW YORK. The C. and D. Line reports that the Port Auckland is to leave New York on April 20 with general cargo to discharge at Auckland, Napier, Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin. WITH HOME CARGO. The C. and D. Line announces that the Port Dunedin is to sail from Liverpool on May 25 with general cargo to discharge at Auckland, .Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin.
CARGO FROM LONDON. The G. and D. Lino advises that the Valacia, instead .of tbo Port Alma, win leave London ou April 17 with general cargo .to discharge at Lyttelton, Port Chalmers, Bluff, and Timarn. TAIROA LEAVES COLON. According to n cable message received by tho Shaw, Savill, and Albion Company tbo Tail on. left Colon last Wednesday afternoon for New York, Boston, Halifax, and London. Tbo vessel sailed from Wellington on March 3. NEW UNION COMPANY BOATS. The Union Company lias boon notified by cablegram that a, contract lias been placed with Messrs Cammed, Laird, Ltd., Birkenhead, for two nj> fo-dato cargo steamers. They are to bo of the following dimensions; — Deadweight, 3,400 tons; length, 29311; beam, 46ft; loaded draught, 18ft. They are to steam ten knots at sea. 'They will be fitted with hand-fired furnaces for twin boilers. .Provision .will be made for installing a pulverised coal plant in each steamer, if desired later. 'The engines will be located right alt. Both vessels will have a single screw and three masts, with four derricks for three holds of two compartments. 'They have been designed for the West Coast; coal trade, and for the carrying of general cargo on Iho coast . VESSELS 1 IN WIRELESS CALL. Tbo Maori, from Wellington, arrived at Ifyttcllon at 7.10 a.m. from Wellington, and passengers ami mails connected with the south express. PORT CURTIS COALING. The C. and I), steamer Port Curtis is expected to kune, Wellington to-mor-row for Lyttelton ami Dunedin lor further discharge of her New York cargo. GOLDEN CLOUD AT AUCKLAND, An arrival at Auckland on Sunday last, was Hie steamer Golden Cloud from Los Angeles. The Union Company's steamer ivnretu from Sydney via. Bluif, arrived this morning to pm, out a quantity of genera! cargo. She was berthed at the Birch street wharf. The vessel is lo sail to-morrow for Timarn and Lyttelton. and will return to this porl about the end of the week to load tor Melbourne and Sydney. She completes loading at Bluff. KEELUNG IN POUT. Under charter to the A. and A. I.nm the Ellernmn-Bncknall steamer Keeping arrived this morning from New York via northern ports, and berthed at the Victoria, wharf to unload flic local amount, of her cargo. Audit 305 motor cars, in addition to general merchandise, wcie brought to New Zealand by the Keelnng. The Keelnng loaded all her cargo at New York, and cleared that port on February JO. She made a direct passage to Auckland, and had fine weather throughout. Probably on Friday morning ihe ship will leave here for Wanganui to complete discharge. Jf is expected that she will be sent lo Sydney and Melbourne lat.er to load for Java and India. Captain X. (I.
