BROAD BAY BOATING CLUB
The Broad Bay Boating Club held a series of races over the club’s course on Saturday afternoon. Several events were decided under favourable conditions, hut the weather became very boisterous later in the afternoon, and the officials decided to postpone two yacht races and the final, neat of the outboard motor race until a later date. Results: — Motor Boats.—Daphne 1, M arena 2, Laura 3. Also started: Ngaio, Miss Bruce, Algie, Sylvia, Pakeha, and Tui if. The latter was disqualified. Yacht Race (Ingram Cup).—Shadow 1, Vera 2. Also started: Irex, Miti, and Tucana. 1 Outboard Motor Boats. —First heat. Sunfisher (scr) 1, Firefly (32sec) 2. Suufisher won by Isec. Second heat; Firefly (33sec) 1, Sunfisher (scr) 2. Firefly won by 2sec.
