INTER-'VARSITY MATCH The annual match between Auckland University College and Victoria University College, Wellington, ended at Auckland yesterday in a draw in favour of Auckland. Victoria College’s first innings closed this morning lor 121, the visitors avoiding a follow-on by only one run. M'Leod was the only batsman to look like standing against Matheson and Garrard. Auckland in its second innings declared with eight wickets down for 86, Schnauer scoring 26 (not out) and Matheson 2-1. Bagge took three wickets for 21.

Victoria had to score 235 to win, but time was against the visitors, who nevertheless scored 173 for six wickets. Mackenzie gave a fine exhibition for 70 (not out). Dormer scored 24 and M'Leod 22 (not out). Gee took three wickets for 38.
