CALDERWOOD CHAMPION [Pt* Ukitbd Pbkss Association.] DANNEVIRKE, April 2. At the Draughts Congress the final nf I,lie championship was won by D. Caldenvoocl, who beat G. A. Brown, the titleholder. These two continued their tie after a win each in the first two games. The ballot gave Calderwood the Black side of the 22-17 Dundee. Brown developed somewhat weakly, and Caldenvoocl took every advantage, and forced his opponent into an unlenablc position. In the fourth game Caldenvoocl, requiring only a draw, scored a series of exchanges, and secured his object. E. Gihbard took third place with three games. Outstanding aggregate scores in the minor tournament are.—
