COLLECTIONS AT PICTURES.
xo run kditoe. Sir, —Jn my opinion. Mr R. S. Black got all he deserved when he came on to the stage at the Regent Theatre last night and begged for alms for the flood sufferers. I happen to know the lady who gave him “back-chat.” She had given of her utmost in time, cooking, and help for a week, and occupied a shilling front seat for a little relaxation from her tiring time. Mr Black had a great admiration for New Yorkers who gave £25,000 for wounded soldiers. Let him have another for the City Corporation when it gives the same amount of money towards the sufferers as was and will be spent on the Town Hall.— I am, etc., Also a Talker, March 27.
