STORE CATTLE FRICES GENERALLY FIRM Fat cattle were not sold at the, .Burnside stock sales io-day at the lime ol going to press, but it was anticipated tliai there would bo little change in the prices as compared with those of last week. Store cattle met with a good sale, with prices generally firm. Fat Cattle.—The majority of the yarding of 155 cattle was comprised ol medium to average bullocks, with a few extra cattle and prime cow.,. Fat Sheep.—A large proportion of good ewes was included in tho penning of 2/130 head. There were also a lew pens of medium fine wool weth-ns and heavy sheep. An in-and-out sale resulted, opening about 2s cheaper lor ewes, while wethers were unchanged. The latter, however, improved afterwards. Light wethers and ewes were also unchanged. Trices: Heavy wethers, 42s to 4 55; prime, 27s to JGs; light, 30fi to 335; heavy ewes, 32s to 345; prime, 27s to 30s; medium, 20s to 245; light, 35s to 17s. Fat. Lambs. —The yarding of 5% included some fairly nice quality, with a few extra heavy. The balance was made up of average quality. As exporters and the usual number ol butchers were present at the sale prices should show little chaug;-. Store Cattle.—About 200 head. This included about fifty good three-year-old and four-year-old bullocks and about forty medium one Pud a-half to two-year-old steers, with a balance of avoi' age grade cows. There was a good sate, values being firm except for young sorts, some of which were passed at auction. Good three year and four-year bullocks made 1113 10s, good three-year-olds were sold at £ll 10s, one and a-half-vear-olds to £7 12s 6d, and medium one and a-half-year-olds to £G 5s
