Tho course was a grass one, no flags being placed. A strong wind assisted the horses. Limerick defeated Paquito by a length without a great effort over six furlongs in linin ifljscc. Catkin went a mile in Imin 42sec, Jet Black running six furlongs in Imin 16sec. Crown Area and High Disdain sprinted six in Imin 151 see. Honour led Agrion at the end of six in Imin 15£scc. Tuki and Gay Gordon ran seven furlongs in Imin 40scc. Gesto and Lord Eudorus covered the same distance in Imin 281-sec. Rawhetu beat Lalique over ten furlongs in 2min 12isec. Winalot ran a mile in Imin 49scc, the last three furlongs occupying 40sec. Gilt Edge led Raisin at the end of seven furlongs, which occupied Imin 29Jsec. Rionscup over nine took Imin 57-fscc.
