WHIPPET RAGING DUHEDIH CLUB'S MEETING •Th Dunedin Whippet Racing Club, which was recently formed, held a meeting at Forbury Park on Saturday afternoon. Five races were confined to lo-cally-owned dogs for educational purposes, and despite the fact that no publicity was given to tho meeting, several hundred people were present ‘and viewed tho races from the lawn stand. During the proceedings the president (Mr J. S. Douglas) took tho opportunity of addressing those present, and expressed the chib’s thanks for their kindly interest in th© sport. Mr Douglas stated that in the near Future a big race meeting would be held. 1 when whippets would be competing from Canterbury and Southland.
