ADESS SHIELD COMPETITION Tho annual competition between twenty howling chibs affiliated to the Dunedin Bowling Centro for the Adess Shield was continued on thc ( Otago green on Saturday afternoon. Splendid bowling was witnessed by the fairly' large crowd of spectators, and twentyone heads were played in each game. The competition is. being decided on the sudden death system. After three rounds had' been played on Saturday the contest Was brought down to four competing clubs—Green Island, IVeSt Harbour, Taieri, and Kaituna. MILTOH On Anniversary Day, at Balmacewen Green, five rinks from Milton played Balmacewen in the morning, and a most enjoyable game resulted under perfect weather conditions. Tho game ended in a win for Balmacewen by 130 points to 71 points. Compliments and cheers were exchanged at the close of the game. Details of the scoring (Balmacewen names first): — A. BUHEDIH CENTRE: V SEACLIFF AND WAIKOUAITI The match between six rinks representing Dunedin Centre and six representing Seacliff and Waikouaiti was played on Caversham green on Saturday afternoon, and resulted in the visitors being defeated by 35 points. The game was played in the best spirit, and was enjoyed by winners and losers alike. Twenty-five heads were played. The followintr wem ilia recml+H:—.

TRAVELLERS V. DUNEDIN The annual match between the Warehousemen and Commercial Travellers’ Association and Dunedin Club was held on Saturday. In the morning game eight rinks were engaged,, and nine rinks played in the afternoon, some strenuous contests resulting. The Dunedin Club won both games by a narrow margin. Mr W. Thomson, president of the Warehousemen’s and Commercial Travellers’ Association, at the conclusion of the match, thanked the Dunedin Club for the pleasant game and the ladies for their assistance. Mr J. B. Frame (president of the Dunedin Club) briefly replied.
