(Received March 23, at 10.30 a.m.) Speaking on the subject of Empire telephony at tho radio dealers’ luncheon, at which Now Zealand was represented, Mr E. T. Fisk (managing director of Amalgamated Wireless, Ltd.) referred to the important investigations and tests that his organisntion had been making in short wave telephony with New York, Java, Berlin, Paris, and other places; but for some reason that ho was unable to understand the British Post Office, authorities seemed unwilling to undertake the experiments asked for from Sydney. . , Mr Fi-sk added that it would seem there were some influences at work to prevent these experiments between Britain and Australia. The utilisation of a radio telephone service lor even two hours daily between the cities ol Australia or New Zealand would be an immense advantage.
