BIRD SHOW
ADDITIONAL RESULTS SPLENDID ENTRY OF PIGEONS Judging the pigeon classes of the Dunedin specialists’ young bird show was not completed until well into yesterday afternoon, so large were the entries. In working homers there was something like a record number of entries in blue chequer cocks, and a fair number of tho birds were only separated by a narrow margin. Blue chequer hens were also a very fine class, and almost as numerous as the cocks. Tho winning hen was an exceptionally line pigeon, and of-the real racing type. Apparently the winning cock and hen were owned by the same exhibitor. 'ln tho championship the winning male bird was a very fine specimen, and the hen exceptionally good. In the pied class the winning cock and the winning hen were very close in point of merit. A very fine bird in the boys’ class had to be passed owing to it not being rung. Some of the other classes, although not numerous, contained several very promising birds. Fancy pigeons were rather disappointing in (point of nnmbeT, but there were some fine birds on the stand. Some that did not get a first place should be found topping their class later on when they become more forward and better feathered. Following are additional results: — COOKERY. Judge: Air J.
