ACCIDENTS AND DEATHS
MOTOR CYCLIST INJURED. John Wilson, aged twenty-five, icsiding at (JGS George street, was admitted to the hospital at 5.40 pm. yesterday suffering from injuries to the head. He was proceeding along George street on a motor cycle when his machine skidded in the tram rids, and he was thrown on to the road. CYCLE FATALITY. A motor cyclist, Charles Eraddock, thirty-five years of age, a station cook, of Orari, was killed on the main North road, Christchurch, at noon yesterday. At first it was thought that the man’s name was Hamilton, but this proved to bo wrong. Eraddock was caught between a motor truck and a motor car. He tried to pass the truck, and the motor car, coming from the opposite direction, struck him. The rider was badly hurt, and died from his injuries.—Press Association. FELL OFF WHARF. The body of Charles A. Rodman was recovered from the Wellington Harbour near Jervois quay yesterday. Rodman fell off the wharf shortly before 9 o’clock on Tuesday night, since when dragging operations have been continued by the police and Harbour Board officials.
