STOP PRESS
[Peb United Press Association.] WELLINGTON, December 28. William O’Halloran, a bushman, went into Wanganui on December 21 with about £SO. He booked a room at a boarding house, and went drinking. Coming back, he went to sleep in his room, and, on waking in the morning, found his money gone. It had been taken by George Brock Aaron Forgeson, aged thirtyfour, who shared the room, and who was subsequently arrested at Wellington with £4O in his possession. Forgeson, in court to-day, pleaded guilty to the theft of a roll of notes amounting to £39, and was given six months’ imprisonment.
