FAT HANNA’S DIGGERS
OPENING PERFORMANCE TO-NIGHT The keen interest and enthusiasm which is being manifested in the-com-ing season of Pat Hanna and his troupe of “ Diggers," who open at the Princess Theatre to-night, augurs well for a highly successful, season. The whole company, too, is awaiting with unusual enthusiasm to renew old acquaintances, and the" leader of the band is full of confidence in regard to gaining hundreds of new' admirers during this Visit. He will provide an entertainment out of the ordinary. There are two comedians in Pat Hanna himself and Joe Va'ii, who will appear as “ Choc ” and “ Joe.” Everywhere this pair played in Australia they established themselves as firm favourites, and are now, perhaps, the best known and most popular comedians throughout the Commonwealth to-dny. The opening bill is full of sketches, ensembles, ballet numbers, baritone, soprano, and tenor solos, bright soubrette numbers all of n high order of merit, eccentric dancing, and xylophone solos arc another strong feature, and the ballet should be an outstanding item of a very strong bill. Mr Hanna includes on. “ Digger ” sketch in every programme, and as it is purely Australian and New Zealand it should not fail td please. The personnel of the company is as follows;—G.
