Under the heading ‘ Christinas Peace in Industry,’ the newspapers announce t!n\t Herr Severin’s award for the steel workers will he enforced'to December 31 next. The award, which the employers refused to accept thereafter, will be on a sliding scale, reducing the pay of those more highly paid. The Ministry of Labour lids given- a binding award for the shipbuilding industry. in which 45,000 men have been on strike for three months.—Australian Press Association.
