KARITANE CARNIVAL
This favourite seaside resort presents a busy scene at present, the local fishermen and others assisting the Regatta and Carnival Committee to provide all the necessary stalls, tents, and stages for tho forthcoming carnival and regatta. .Entries have already come to hau,d for the outboard motor events from Christchurch enthusiasts, who are bringing their boats to Karitano next Thursday. Five entries have been received from Otago’s leading crews for the senior fours, and it is confidently expected that visitors will be treated to some excellent contests. It is recognised that Karitanc provides one of the finest rowing courses in Otago. Visitors may expect all tho thrills they could wisli in the outboard motor boat championship and handicap races, also in the aqna-pluning contests. These events are new to the district. (Willing bands of ladies are busily engaged on preparations for the carnival stalls.
