HOURS OF WORK. Press Association— By Telegraph—Copyright. MELBOURNE, December 19. (Received December 19, at 10.10 a.m.) The Full Commonwealth Arbitration Court granted an application by the employers that the standard hours to bo worked in the timber industry bo forty-eight a week. The union bad sought for forty-four hours a week. Mr Justice Dethridge said that the industry was in such a bad way that it woulci bo unable to stand the further bnrdcn of shorter hours.
