At tho inquest on the death of Doris Laverack, a verdict of accidental death was returned. The radiologist said that the nurse unwittingly approached the danger zone beyond the fluorescent stream, placing herself in an ideal position in relation to tbo overhead leads from tho high tension system, thus completing tho circuit and giving a shock which was sufficient to electrocute tho child.—London ‘ Times ’ Cable. [Doris Laverack, aged eight, was killed on an X-ray table in Hull Infirmary. Tho electric current passed through the girl, thence to her mother, who is suffering from burns. Tho doctor also received a shock when ho was getting the dead child off the table. There was a vivid flash of current, which first traversed the nurse, thence te the child, thonco to the mother, who was standing at the head of tho table. The mother was rendered unconscious, but she recovered. The nurse was severely burned on tho legs, .arms, and body.]
