WEDDING

A very pretty wedding was celebrated on December 1 at the Edgeware Rond Church, Wesley road, Christchurch, by the Rev. S. J. Werren, when Tiii Marjory Gilder, daughter of Mr and Mrs Edu«ird Gilder, “Ranchlea,” Orari, and formerly of Dunedin, was married to James Francis Thomas, only son oi Mr and Mrs J. H. Thomas, Wellington, also formerly of Dunedin- The bride chose for her wedding gown a. dainty model of ivory satin georgette heavily headed in silver roses, with prettily embroidered veil forming a graceful train, this being held in place with a triple row of orange blossom. Sho carried a shower bouquet of white and pink roses and bride’s lilies. Miss Alma Pocock and Miss Kyra. Gilder, sister of tho bride, attended as .bridesmaids, the former wearing a model frock of blush georgette and a coronet to tone, her bouquet consisting of salmon pink and white roses, and the latter wore a dainty frock of ivory snedeno, ‘ with coronet to match. She carried a bouquet of pink and white roses The bridegroom was attended by Mr James M. Wills, of St. Clair. Dunedin. A reception and breakfast were held at the residence of Mrs Alfred Martin, St. Albans, where the usual toasts were honoured. A dinner was later held at the United Service Hotel, from where the happy con pie left by motor for the honeymoon in the North Island. The bride travelled in a Paris frock of beige georgette and guipure lace wo/n with a Bangkok hat, and coat to tone. Sho wore also a beautiful Russian fox fur, the gift of tho bridegroom.
