| ST. ANDREW STREET JUNIORS > The St. Andrew Street Junior Christian Endeavour Society break-up concert and presentation of prizes was held in the church hall last Thursday evening. The Rev. W. D. More presided, and the following contributed to an enjoyable programme:—Miss N. Wahrlich, piano solo, ‘Cinderella’; Miss D. Stentiford, song, ‘ Waiata Poi ’ j Miss R. Powell, ‘ Hawaiian Moonlight ’; Miss E. Bachop, piano solo; Master D. M‘Morland, song, ‘ Youth ’; Miss 0. Erridgo, recitation, ‘The Fly in Church ’; Misses P. Blackie .and R. Powell, duet, 1 Summer Is Passing. By ’; Miss Q. Galvin, ‘ Little Orphant Annie ’; Miss M. Abbott, song, ‘ Daddy’s Sweetheart ’; Miss D. Powell, recitation, ‘ The All Alone Tree ’; Misses A. Edgar and R. Powell, duet, with ukulele accompaniment; Master Roy Kerr, violin solo, * Ave Maria ’; Master K. Russell, recitation, ‘ Bud Discourses on Cleanliness ’; Miss P, Blackie, action song, ‘ Vooden Vedding’; Misses H. M‘Lackland and N. Wahrlich, piano duet, ‘ Sleigh Bells ’; Miss M. Davey, ‘ The Professor’s Lecture’: Miss M. Abbott and Master D. M'Morland, duet in character. 1 The Crocodile ’; Miss A. Rush, piano solo, Miss M. Wahrlich, song, * When Song Is Sweet ’; Miss F. Erridgo, recitation, ‘ When Father Drives the Car ’; Miss J. Crawford, song, ‘ Garden of Happiness.’ Miss Crawford read the. report, which showed a most successful year. The class membership stands at ninety-four, and the average attendance throughout at the meetings has been excellent. One member, M. Wahrlich, has completed her eleventh year of unbroken attendance, a new record for the society. A number of others also worthy of mention are: F, Erridge and D. Parsons, eight years; 0. Erridge and D. M'Morland, seven years; F.< Galvin, Q. Galvin, and K. Russell, six years; whilst T. Ledgerwood and N. Wahrlich have completed five years. The annual rally took the form of a flight of birds round the South Island of New Zealand, and this proved an interesting and keenlyfought contest. The winning side was given a party to celebrate its win. Flowers have been sent weekly to the sick, either in their homes or in hospital. N Miss F. Erridge then read the treasurer’s report, which showed that £7 had been donated to children’s work in the mission field. The Rev. W. D. More complimented Mias Crawford and Mss Elma Crawford very highly on the success of this year’s work under their leadership, and presented each of them with a gift as a token of appreciation. The prizes were then distributed, and the National Anthem was sung in conclusion.
