GRANGE V. GARISBROOK

M'Mullan (35) and Morris (50) were Grange’s not out batsmen when the match against Carisbvook (107) was resumed on the North Ground, but, with 13 added to his total, Morris was bowled by Nimmo. 119—1—63. Boyd joined M'Mullan, and the pair hit out lustily, M'Mullan in particular batting finely. He was missed at mid-off when the. total was 160, and Boyd, too, gave a hot chance to Cameron off the latter’s bowling, the catch being dropped. Cameron was the only bowler who was troubling the batsmen, and eventually he got M'Mullan’s off stump with a fast one. M'Mifllan’s 80 included nine 4’s. Boyd batted well for 38, and Knight had a brief but merry stay at the wickets for 16, his score including a 6 and two 4’s. Galland had 37 not out to his credit when the side declared with five wickets down for 273. Cameron bowled well for Carisbrook, taking three . wickets for 38 runs,

Garishrook, with the exception of Blunt, Aitken, and Priest, made a wretched showing in their second innings, being ail out for 101, of which Blunt made 52 in attractive fashion. Galland went through the others in great style, and finished up with eight wickets for 45 runs~a great performance Aitken and Priest were t?ie only ones in addition to Blunt who reached double figures.
