MOTOR TRANSPORT LECTURES

Jlr Walton Schmidt, field repesentativo of the National Automobile Chamber of Commerce, New York, has arrived for the purpose of giving several lectures under the auspices of the Otago Motor Club and the Otago Motor Traders’ Association. The subject for bis first lecture will be ‘ Modern Motor Transportation.’ This lecture will be illustrated with eight reels of motion pictures. It will bo given at the 1 rmcess Theatre to-morrow evening. At the present time New Zealand, with its ever-increasing number of motor vehicles, is facing problems upon which America has been working for a number of years. With the bop© ol giving some assistance to road construction officials, municipal traffic officials, and motorists in general Mr Schmidt has brought with him a number of motion pictures illustrating American methods of highway planning and construction, and also describing the manner and extent to which the motor car has contributed to-the prosperity of the United States.
