ATTACKED BY TRIBESMEN
ALGERIAN INCIDENT Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. LONDON, December 1.1. The Paris correspondent of ‘ The Times ’ says that three French officers —Colonel “Claverie, Captain Pasquet, and Captain Debosse —who, with four men, were on a tour of inspection in three motor cars, were suddenly attacked by tribesmen when thirty-five miles south of Colornb lo Char, Algeria. The three officers were killed and two of the men were wounded, while one is missing. The tribesmen cut the telephone wires, causing a delay of two_ days in the report reaching the authorities. An armed force was immediately sent.— London ‘ Times 1 Cable.
