A deputation representative of members of all parties waited on the Prime Minister this afternoon seeking an increase in their honoraria. Your representative has learned that Sir Joseph Ward gave members a patient and sympathetic hearing. It was pointed out that nothing could be done this session, but next year, when legislation was introduced, effect would in all probability be given to their request. Sir Joseph made it plain that bo had always been of the opinion that members should receive more than £450 a year Ho was in sympathy with their request, and would consider the whole matter carefully, with a view to giving effect to it next session.'
