AMERICA PREPARING TO CHALLENGE THREE CARS BEING BUILT. Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. LONDON, March 1. (Received March 2, at 8.45 a.m.) In a speech at the racing motorists’ dinner, Major Segrave, referring to Captain Malcolm Campbell’s feat, disclosed that three American firms are building cars which will be completed in March, 1929, to attack the record. He, accompanied by Captain J. S'. Irving, would go to America to uphold Britain’s achievement. He hoped that Captain Campbell would accompany them.—A. and N.Z. and ‘Sun’ Cable.

Captain Malcolm Campbell, who recently established a new world’s automobile speed record of 207 miles an hour at Daytona, Florida, arrived in Washington last night, and will to-day go to the Capitol, where the Vice-presi-dent (Mr Dawes) will present him with \he speed trophy.
