HUMAN REMAINS WASHED UP. The head and trunk of a man’s body were washed ashore on the Wnikamin Beach this morning. They are believed to bo the remains of Patrick Roff, a seaman on the schooner Elsie Alary, who was drowned on January 2. Gisborne Press Association telegram. HOUSEHOLDER. BURNED TO DEATH. As the result of the burning of his house at Te Ore Ore las night, Harry Scott, aged fifty-five, lost his life. Scott was sleeping in the house alone, and when the fire was noticed by a neighbor it was too late to effect a rescue, the remains later being found in the debris.—iMasterton Press Association telegram.
